Hold the Shot Button for Rapid Fire.

¥Button 2 (Lock Button)

Hold the Lock Button to expand your radar and lock onto enemies.
While the button is held down, your ship's movement speed is reduced.

Releasing the button while locked onto enemies fires a powerful Lock-on Laser.

The upper gauge is the main gauge, the lower gauge is the sub-gauge.

  • Using a bomb will destroy all enemy bullets and give your ship a brief period of invincibility
    Using a bomb will also drop your Break Rate Multiplier by a fixed rate.

yGauge 100%z Break Mode

For a fixed amount of time, a high-powered Break Mode will be entered.

ŸWhile Break Mode is active
 The lower sub-gauge becomes the main gauge.

  • At the time of activation, all enemy bullets will be cancelled and your ship will have a period of invincibility.
  • Your ship's attack power will dramatically increase.
  • The Break Rate Multiplier is doubled.
  • The appearance of score items increases.
  • Attacking with Shot will produce score items.
  • Attacking with Shot will quickly raise the Break Rate Multiplier

  • While in Break Mode, if the gauge is at 50%`99%, a bomb can be used.
  • After Break Mode ends, the Break Rate Multiplier will be reduced by 1/2

= Double Break Mode


While in Break Mode, if the Break Gauge is filled to 100% and Break Mode is activated again Double Break Mode will be entered.

 

 

  • Your ship's attack power will further increase.
  • Bombs cannot be used.
  • The Break Rate Multiplier is doubled yet again
    (In essence, 4x the base rate)
  • After Double Break Mode ends, the Break Rate Multiplier will be reduced by 1/4
  • After Double Break Mode ends, the Break Gauge will be reset to 0%
  • Flying enemies' movement jumps to high speed
    Depending on the condition of your surroundings, you can end up in an extremely rough situation, exercise caution!

ŸSIMPLE MODE

A mode aiming for a simple gameplay style.

  • Break Mode can't be activated.
  • 3 levels of enemy bullet speed:
    Gauge 0`49%: Rank 1
    Gauge 50`99%: Rank 2
    Gauge 100%: MAX Rank
  • Point-blanking enemies while the Break Gauge is at MAX will generate ™ (star) items
    (Even if your ship is not at close range, you can overlap your options onto the enemy)
  • While the Break Gauge is at MAX, depending on the number of ™ items collected a per-frame point bonus as well as an attack bonus are added.
  • Even if the Rank is kept low, what will happen if you keep grabbing ™ itemscH


ŸUNLIMITED MODE

A mode for people who enjoy fireworks.

  • The basic system is identical to Original Mode

¥On the first play you will be unable to continue
However, Item Points¦ collected on each playthrough can be spent at the LIMITTER SHOP accessed from the title screen and used to purchase Credits used for continuing.

 ¦The TOTAL amount of items shown on the left side of the screen
  is added to your Item Points at the Game Over screen.
  Whether or not you continue doesn't matter,
  but if the game is exited without seeing the Game Over screen
  the points earned during that play are discarded.

ŸWhen the Break Gauge gets full use Break Mode freely!
The gauge is quick to refill, so using Break Mode sparingly isn't to your advantage.
Even when it's only at 50%`99%, don't forget that you can still bomb.

ŸEven while in Break Mode, if you've got enough gauge you can Bomb.

ŸCollecting a certain amount of ™ items powers up your ship.
(at 1000 & 5000 for Original and Unlimited, at 1000 & 3000 for Simple)
It's a good idea to power up your ship as soon as possible.

ŸBombing will slow down enemy bullets, so bomb away if things get dangerous.



yTips for Getting High-scoresz


Points from destroying enemies and collecting items all depend on the Break Rate Multiplier at the upper-right of the screen.
Shooting and destroying enemies adds to the Break Rate Multiplier.


Getting 6+ lock-ons at once and then destroying an enemy with the lock-on laser
gives you a Lock-on Multiplier separate from the Break Rate Multiplier
(Whether locked onto a single enemy or multiple enemies)

    Ÿ7 Locks = 1.4x

    Ex: Destroying an enemy worth 100 points with a Break Rate Multiplier of 1000 and 24 Locks:

Also, the more concurrent Locks you have when destroying an enemy the more the Break Gauge/Break Rate Multiplier will be increased
Killing with the lock-on laser will increase both the Main Gauge and Sub Gauge

 ¦The number of times a single enemy can be locked-on to
  depends on the enemy's remaining health at the moment they're locked.
  Shooting for a high multiplier through lock-ons requires
  carefully regulating lock timing and damage dealt to enemies.

šAfter destroying an enemy with lockshot, the lock-on multiplier will continue to be applied (even for enemies destroyed with shot) for a period of time

šAttacking enemies with the Main Shot at point-blank range boosts attack power and raises the rate of Break Gauge increase.


šDuring Break Mode the Break Rate Multiplier is doubled
